Homestay in 加拿大 － 渥太华
We have been learning about different cultures from many countries, including, Japan, China, Cameroon, Vietnam, Mexico, Spain and Columbia amongst many others. We encourage our homestay students to discover the Canadian culture. Our children are now adults and live close by. We truly enjoy family suppers and different events during the year, ( Christmas, Thanksgiving, Chinese New Year, etc)
Meals ( supper ) are pretty much North American, beef, pork, poultry, fish ,potatoes, rice ,noodles and various vegetable. Canadian dishes, such as Shepherd pie, apple pie and many other delectable dishes, for which many students as enjoyed.
The student's bedroom consists of a single bed, desk, chair, night table, dresser and high speed internet. Pillows and linen included.
Our house is comfortable, located in a quiet and safe neighborhood, close to public transportation ( 1 minute walk to the city bus stop or 10 minutes walk to Blair station). There are close by shopping centers. We are near Ottawa University, La Cite Collegiale and Carleton University .From Blair station only 1 bus to Ottawa University ( 20 minutes ) , 1 bus to La Cite Collegiale ( 10 minutes ) and 1 bus to Carleton University ( 30 minutes ).
